Christine Yowell

Hello Masters ES!

After attending Whittier College and receiving a BA in Business, I obtained a teaching credential in Business, Math, and Technology Apps from California State University, Fullerton and taught junior high and high school for several years.  Then in 2008-2010, I worked as a Campus Instructional Technologist in Judson ISD.

I received a Master of Library Science degree from Texas Woman’s University in 2021 so that I could hold the best job on campus!  After working for a few years in Schertz Cibolo Universal City ISD, where I earned the Librarian of the Year Award, I am happy to be back at Judson ISD as a librarian at Masters Elementary working with all the students in the school.

I love learning and believe that education should be fun.  I teach to help others find what they enjoy. I live with my husband, daughter, and dog in Cibolo in a house that is usually playful and messy.  In my spare time I love traveling, reading, and learning new things.

Library Hours

7:30 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.

Classes visit the library on a regular basis to grow their skills in literacy and the navigation of our vast information world, as well as to enhance their love of reading.  There are opportunities for students to visit the library on their own during the school day when the library media specialist is not facilitating other classes.

Library Policies and Procedures

  • Kinder, and 1st grade students will be able to check out 1 book at a time, while 2nd through 5th grade students will be able to check out 2 books at a time.  Books are checked out for a two-week period, but students may exchange books sooner if they wish.

Fines

  • Fines are not given for late books; however, books that are lost or damaged beyond repair may require payment in the amount needed to replace the book.
  • It makes us sad to see students move away, but we understand this is a part of life.  In the instance that your family moves to a new campus, please remember to return library books before you leave so that we may continue to share them with students for many years to come.
